Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Mining Engineer to design, plan, and optimize quarry and mining operations supporting cement, concrete and asphalt production in California.

You will develop mine plans, perform reserve and production analyses, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and collaborate with engineering, plant and environmental teams to implement sustainable extraction methods and improve equipment utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related field.
• Experience in open-pit mining and quarry operations preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan quarry/mining operations to support cement, concrete, and asphalt production.
• Develop mine plans and perform reserve and production analyses.
