LPA is seeking a Project Architect to join our Civic + Cultural team in California. You will lead technical delivery across all project phases, ensuring design intent, quality control, and on-site problem solving, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
The role emphasizes sustainable, high‑performance design, strong client relations, and contribution to a collaborative culture across California and Texas studios.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture.
- 10+ years of experience across all phases of architectural projects.
- Active architecture license in California.
- Proficiency in Revit and other relevant design tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and execute project documentation and contract administration across all phases of assigned projects.
- Direct the technical delivery of projects from concept design through construction, coordinating with designers and engineers.
- Collaborate with the Project Designer and Project Manager to realize design visions with clarity and precision.
- Oversee the preparation of design documentation including schematic design, DD, and CDs.
- Conduct quality control reviews on products, materials, and methods.
- Lead construction administration and resolve on-site design issues.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Mentor junior staff and foster growth through training and support.
