Job summary

The Global Studies program at the University of Virginia seeks a graduate or fourth-year student to assist with grading and student advising in this core course for the Global Sustainability major. The TA will help evaluate policy-focused assignments, support discussions, and guide students through live policy topics.

Attend class Tue/Thu 14:00–15:15, receive $18/hr, and work 10–15 hours per week in Gibson Hall Room 211.

Qualifications

• Federal Work Study approved (strongly preferred).
• Interest in collective action to improve ecological, economic, and ethical outcomes.
• Ability to provide thoughtful feedback and grade written assignments.
• Commitment to complete job duties on time.
• Qualified applicants must be students in “Good Standing.”

Responsibilities

• Attend class Tue/Thu 14:00–15:15 to facilitate discussions and assist the instructor.
• Share assignment grading with the instructor (Course enrollment is capped at 60 students).
• Provide guidance to students on assignments as needed.
