Job summary

UW-Stevens Point seeks a Mitigation Intern to collaborate with the Office of Sustainability on carbon mitigation efforts and resilience planning. You will assist with data collection, planning electrical transitions, and transportation-related education and improvements.

The role reports to the Sustainability Director, with probationary start and a 10-hour weekly commitment over 6 weeks this summer, requiring strong organizational and communication skills and a creative approach to outreach.

Qualifications

• Must be a UW-Stevens Point student in good standing with at least 12 undergraduate credits.
• Proficient in Word and graphics software with strong written and oral communication.
• Able to organize tasks, manage time, and work independently on assigned projects.
• Knowledge of sustainability principles and promotional tactics beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop projects and targets within the internship scope.
• Identify future CARP-related projects and GH GHG mitigation opportunities.
• Assist with data collection and dissemination for climate actions and resilience plan.
