Job summary

CSafe Global is seeking a Sustainability Manager to drive the environmental strategy, regulatory readiness, and emissions reduction efforts across the organization. You will partner with teams worldwide to advance meaningful change, monitor data, and report progress against commitments.

The role requires leading global sustainability projects, tracking emissions, and supporting CDP/ EcoVadis disclosures while maintaining audit-ready documentation and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • 5+ years in an environmental or sustainability role with data collection experience.
  • Strong understanding of federal and regulatory requirements; ability to apply across jurisdictions.
  • Proven track record of performing audits and reporting with accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide environmental strategy and regulatory readiness initiatives.
  • Track Scope 1-3 emissions and manage CSafe's science-based targets.

Are you passionate about turning sustainability goals into measurable results? As Sustainability Manager, you'll drive enterprise-wide environmental strategy, regulatory readiness, and emissions reduction efforts while partnering with teams around the world to advance meaningful change.

The Sustainability Manager helps CSafe deliver on the sustainability commitments our customers rely on. This role executes the company-wide environmental strategy, policy, training, and regulatory compliance, and manages the data and performance metrics that demonstrate progress against those commitments. By maintaining accurate, audit-ready environmental data and clear reporting, this role enables CSafe to meet customer sustainability requirements, respond to customer inquiries with credible data, and support the industry's shift toward more sustainable cold-chain packaging.

What You'll Work On

Strategy Execution & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization on all matters related to sustainability.
  • Lead sustainability projects globally, engaging local team members regionally to achieve program goals.
  • Engage key internal and external stakeholders to advanceCSafe'ssustainability goals and policies.

Data, Metrics & Target Tracking

  • Track and report Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and manage progress towardCSafe'sSBTi-validated science-based targets.
  • Coordinate Product GHG Inventory analysis across the product portfolio, partnering with external sustainability consultants as needed.
  • Manage key sustainability performance metrics and communicate results throughout the company.

Regulatory & Disclosure Readiness

  • Monitor, reportand provide recommendationson evolving pharmaceutical cold-chain packaging regulations whereCSafeoperates — including EU PPWR, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes, PFAS restrictions, US state-level foam and plastics bans, and WHO packaging guidelines — and assess implications forCSafe'sproduct portfolio and compliance obligations.
  • SupportCSafe'sCarbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reporting commitment.
  • Support site-levelEcoVadiscertification efforts andmaintaincertification status across global locations.
  • Maintain assurance-ready documentation and data traceability to support ESG ratings andrankingssubmissions (e.g.,EcoVadis, CDP).

Customer & Commercial ESG Enablement

  • Support customer ESG tenders and RFP responses by ensuring sustainability data and claims areaccurate, consistent, andaudit-ready.
  • Maintain standardized ESG data packs and content to support commercial teams responding to customer sustainability requirements.
  • RepresentCSafe'ssustainability program in customer meetings, addressingquestionsand providing credible data to support their requirements.

Training & Internal Enablement

  • Implement environmental compliance policies by supporting the creation and maintenance of training and informational materials.
  • Build andmaintaina system for sharing sustainability best practices across teams and regions.
  • Manage goal-setting data and support implementation of sustainability projects, including operational efficiency initiatives and reusable product design efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field – or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an environmental or sustainability role or equivocal.
  • Experience collecting company data on GHG emissions.
  • Solid understanding of federal government and regulatory requirements; ability to interpret requirements across jurisdictions where CSafe operates facilities.
  • Established track record of successfully performing audits.
  • High-level working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey sustainability initiatives and needs to executive leadership, front-line staff, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of basic statistics.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to perform routine tasks independently.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) or ESG regulatory requirements across keyjurisdictions.
  • Experience responding to customer ESG requirements, tenders, or RFPs.

PPWR & Regulatory Compliance

  • Build a packaging inventory distinguishing primary vs. secondary/tertiary packaging to clarify PPWR exemption scope forCSafe'sproduct lines.
  • Establish a regulatory tracker for PPWR, EPR, PFAS, and US state-level foam/plastics bans, with quarterly review cadence.
  • Monitor WHO packaging guideline updates and flag implications for active/passive container design.

Emissions & Target Tracking

  • Finalize Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data collection process and baseline reporting workingwith external consultants.
  • Complete Product GHG Inventory analysis across the product portfolio with external consultants.
  • Set up a recurring (quarterly or biannual) SBTi progress report for leadership.

Certifications & Disclosure

  • Maintain EcoVadis certification renewal timeline across global sites, working with Quality
  • Prepare CDP disclosure submission materials ahead of reporting deadline.
  • Build an assurance-ready documentation repository (data sources, evidence, audit trail) for ratings/rankingssubmissions.

Customer & Commercial Enablement

  • Create a standardized ESG data pack template for customer tenders/RFPs.
  • Develop a sustainability FAQ/talking points document for commercial teams fielding customer questions.
  • Track and log customer ESG meeting participation and follow-up items.

Operational & Product Sustainability Initiatives

  • Track and report on operational efficiency initiatives (e.g., LED lighting conversion, optimized materialprocurementand assembly processes) that reduce waste and energy consumption across the global network.
  • Support product design and performance initiatives prioritizing energy-efficient materials and manufacturing processes from concept development, working directly with Product Management.
  • SupportCSafe'sreusable modelstrategy across active and passive bulk air cargo and parcel solutions, and quantify associated sustainability impact, working directly with Product Management and Marketing.
  • Monitor and report on global network efficiency (70+ locations) as it relates to minimizing transportation-related emissions and costs.

Training & Internal Enablement

  • Developtheinitialenvironmental compliance training module for relevant teams.
  • Launch an internal best-practices sharing mechanism (e.g., recurring newsletter, shared repository).
