Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Maryland is seeking a Part-time Product Recovery Associate to help minimize waste and maximize value of store inventory. This role supports repackaging, assembly, and the sale of As-Is products with attention to pricing and customer appeal.

You will contribute to quality improvements, uphold sustainability principles, and reinforce IKEA culture in daily operations with a diverse team and customers.

Qualifications

• Retail experience.
• Knowledge of how to build quality IKEA furniture.
• Knowledge of waste management and sustainability principles.
• Experience working in a customer and commercial-oriented business.

Responsibilities

• Minimize internal damages or costs related to IKEA products.
• Repackage/assemble items to give them a second life.
• Present As-Is products with strong commercial expression and pricing.
• Support store quality work to improve customers' perception of IKEA products.
• Consider sustainability impact when recovering products.
• Support IKEA culture and inclusivity among coworkers and customers.
