Job summary

The Greenridge Group is seeking a Construction Project Engineer – Sustainability to support the Los Angeles Community College District BuildLACCD Sustainability Team. The role covers planning, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout of sustainability and energy-related capital projects, including energy efficiency, EV charging, and electrification.

Ideal candidates will have BIM experience, a track record on large public or educational facilities, and strong coordination across project

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in project or construction management.
• Experience with commercial, public, or educational facility construction projects valued at more than $15 million.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support to Project Managers and the Sustainability Team throughout all phases of assigned projects.
• Support sustainability initiatives involving energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energy, and carbon reduction.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and District personnel to address technical issues and RFIs.
• Maintain and distribute current contract plans and specifications.
• Conduct field checks to verify construction compliance with plans, specifications, District standards, and applicable DSA requirements.
• Document project progress through photographs, daily reports, and project notes.
• Track change order proposals, field orders, and approved change orders.
• Maintain project files and record drawings.
• Log and review submittals for conformance with plans and specifications.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, monthly invoices, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Provide additional project and construction support as needed.
