Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Intern for Summer 27. Based in the United States with preferred locations including Chicago, IL and other U.S.
cities, the role supports environmental services projects and related data analyses. You will conduct field activities, prepare technical reports, review regulations, and help plan scopes of work for subcontracts, with up to 50% fieldwork and travel.

Based out of the United States (preferred locations: Chicago, IL; New Orleans, LA; Salt Lake City, UT; Irvine, CA; Tempe, AZ, Denver, CO) you’ll assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects. You’ll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff as you conduct data analysis including air and greenhouse gas emissions; create technical reports documenting completed activities and results; review regulations and create compliance demonstrations; plan and execute field activities including observations, auditing, soil sampling, and groundwater sampling; prepare scopes of work for subcontracts. Estimated time spent doing fieldwork is approximately up to 50%, with some of that being out-of-town travel.

The base salary range for this position is $50,800.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
