Essex Solutions seeks a Sustainability Analyst to oversee global data collection, validation, and integrity across its manufacturing footprint. You will partner with site data owners to support sustainability reporting, disclosures, and program development.

Role covers roughly 28 sites across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, with training, data validation, and ongoing support for ISSB- and GRI-aligned reporting and dashboards.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in sustainability, EHS, energy management, data analytics, or related field.
  • Advanced data management and analytical skills with large, multi-site datasets.
  • Experience with Scope 1, 2 & 3 GHG accounting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with diverse time zones.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, data analytics, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Data collection across ~28 sites, including GHG data, energy, water, waste, and social metrics.
  • Serve as primary contact for site data owners across Americas, EMEA, APAC; monitor submissions and gaps.
  • Provide training on ISSB- and GRI-aligned reporting requirements.
  • Validate submitted data, investigate anomalies, document resolutions for accuracy.
  • Assist with ISSB- and GRI-aligned sustainability metrics and reporting.
  • Maintain audit trails and methodology documentation for third-party assurance.
  • Support development of sustainability reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Assist with customer ESG questionnaires and data requests.
  • Support ESG platform operations, config, data mapping, and user access.
  • Help onboard sites and maintain data model updates after acquisitions.

POSITION PURPOSE

This role serves as the primary day-to-day partner to site-level data owners and supports sustainability reporting, customer requests, voluntary disclosures, and the continued development of Essex Solutions’ sustainability program.

SUSTAINABILITY ANALYST
POSITION PURPOSE

The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for the collection, validation, and integrity of global sustainability data across Essex Solutions’ manufacturing footprint. This role serves as the primary day-to-day partner to site-level data owners and supports sustainability reporting, customer requests, voluntary disclosures, and the continued development of Essex Solutions’ sustainability program.

Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in sustainability, EHS, energy management, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Advanced data management and analytical skills, with the ability to work with large, multi-site datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with plant-level personnel across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, data analytics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Experience with an ESG data management platform, such as Watershed or a similar platform.
  • Familiarity with CDP, EcoVadis, GRI, ISSB/IFRS S1–S2, and other sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Data Collection & Site Engagement — 30%
  • Manage global sustainability data collection across approximately 28 sites, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG data, energy, water, waste, and social metrics.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for site data owners across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC; monitor submissions, resolve data questions, and elevate persistent gaps as needed.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to site data owners regarding ISSB- and GRI-aligned reporting requirements.
  • Validate submitted data, investigate anomalies, and document resolutions to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Regulatory & Disclosure Support — 20%
  • Assist with the compilation and validation of ISSB- and GRI-aligned sustainability metrics.
  • Support GRI metric definition, mapping, and index preparation.
  • Maintain audit trails and methodology documentation sufficient to support third-party assurance activities.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting Essex Solutions’ sites and communicate potential impacts and required actions.
Reporting & Analysis — 20%
  • Contribute data, analysis, and drafted content to the annual Sustainability Report.
  • Assist with developing recurring sustainability reports and dashboards for site, regional, and executive audiences.
  • Provide analytical support for sustainability target setting and decarbonization roadmap development.
  • Prepare initial draft responses for CDP and EcoVadis submissions.
ESG Platform Operations — 10%
  • Support administration of the ESG data platform, including configuration, data mapping, emission factor library maintenance, and user access.
  • Support platform implementation and site onboarding, including data validation rules and user acceptance testing.
  • Maintain the ESG platform as the system of record, including updates to the data model resulting from acquisitions, meter changes, supplier transitions, and other business changes.
Customer Requests — 10%
  • Assist with responses to customer ESG questionnaires, sustainability assessments, and data requests.
  • Gather, validate, and coordinate sustainability information required for customer submissions.
Program Support — 10%
  • Support sustainability strategy and roadmap development.
  • Coordinate materials, communications, and logistics for sustainability working groups.
  • Support supplier sustainability initiatives and related data collection.
  • Assist with internal sustainability communications, policy documentation, and training materials.
