Job summary

Hendrickson in Missouri is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to drive the overall suspension system design and development. You will validate designs, manage design analysis projects, and push continuous improvements across the product portfolio.

The role requires 4–6 years of vehicle structural design experience, strong CAD/FEA skills, and familiarity with IATF 16949/ISO 9001 practices. On-site work, with occasional travel to supplier and customer sites, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural, Aeronautical, or related engineering field.
• 4–6 years' experience in vehicle structural design with exposure to dynamic analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis.
• Experience managing development projects and meeting deadlines.
• Experience with CAD/Analysis tools; IATF 16949/ISO 9001 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all technical aspects of major product design and development, utilizing the SPDD process.
• Design, validate, and provide test reports and sign-off documents for production readiness.
• Coordinate with CAD, FEA, and laboratory personnel and interface with other departments.
• Coordinate technical design and test aspects on projects with suppliers and customers.
• Drive continuous improvement, safety, and value across projects.
• Lead cross-functional launch efforts and maintain project schedules.
