Job summary

Kiewit Offshore Services is seeking a Surveyor to establish and maintain methods for safe, accurate, and efficient Survey/Dimensional Control operations. The role focuses on field survey operations with primary time spent in the field.

Based in Ingleside, TX, the Surveyor will work under the Surveying department, contributing to the district's offshore construction projects and engaging in hands-on leadership and field execution.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years' experience in Dimensional Control, Industrial Measurement, Construction Survey, or a related field is required
• GPS experience is a plus
• Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to perform calculations (area, volume, circumference, proportion, percentage)
• Dynamic thinker with the desire to lead, motivate and mentor teams
• Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team
• Committed to working safe and getting the job done right the first time

Position Overview

As a Surveyor at KOS, you will play an integral role in establishing and maintaining methods for safe, accurate and efficient Survey/Dimensional Control operations. You will have responsibilities over field survey operations, and should plan to spend the majority of your time in the field performing surveying operations.

District Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550-acre fabrication yard is the workplace of 300 staff employees and 1400 craft employees who work in the yard year-round.
