Job summary

Sherwood Surveying & S.U.E in Fort Worth, Texas seeks a Surveyor-in-Training to assist a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in a variety of surveying services.

The role involves GPS data processing, field measurements, map preparation, and rigorous quality checks to ensure accurate delivery to clients. Candidates should be SIT-registered in Texas and prepared for field and office work.

Qualifications

• Associates in land surveying or equivalent experience.
• S.I.T. registered in Texas.
• 3 years minimum surveying experience.
• Knowledge of GPS survey methods.
• Comfort with physical tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Process data collected via GPS to obtain results.
• Perform calculations to establish coordinates for survey control and measurements.
• Prepare tentative and final tract maps, parcel maps, Record of Survey maps, ALTA maps, corner records, right-of-way maps, and similar documents.
• Perform field checks, correct, and supplement maps prior to delivery to a client.
• Read and understand title commitments, engineering and architectural plans.
• Maintain communications with the RPLS to report progress and issues.
