Job summary

Prince is seeking an experienced survey professional to perform highway project surveying, instrument operation, and data entry. The role includes equipment maintenance, layout duties, and data verification to ensure accuracy on road projects.

You will operate GPS, Trimble, and Total Station gear, assist the Survey Manager with layouts, and maintain supplies while adhering to safety standards; overtime and teamwork are expected in an outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of survey experience on highway/roadway projects.
• High School diploma preferred.
• English or Spanish communication abilities.
• Must lift 25–50 lbs multiple times daily.
• Must work overtime and be flexible with hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate surveying instruments and input data into software.
• Daily maintenance and preparation of surveying equipment and vehicle.
• Assist Survey Manager with layout and measurements.

Job description

This position is for surveying on highway/roadway construction projects. Operation of surveying instruments/equipment and compiling and entering data into computer software. Entry-level experience with CADD programs is required.

• The daily maintenance and preparation of surveying equipment and vehicle.
• Provides assistance to Survey Manager in regard to layout and measurements.
• Operating GPS, Trimble, and Total station equipment.
• Maintaining all surveying supplies.
• Comparing survey computations with applicable standards to determine the accuracy of data.
• Equipment verification once a month.
• Attends safety meetings and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4+ years of survey experience on highway/roadway construction projects.
• A High School diploma is highly preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish, due to the nature of the job.
• Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. several times a day.
• Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours. (daytime/nighttime)
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be accustomed to working in an outside environment.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Must possess and maintain a clean Georgia driver’s license.
