Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Surveyor to provide quality surveying services to ensure construction work aligns with design drawings and specs.

You will perform survey measurements for job set-up, stake-out, and “As-Built” work while supporting job-site personnel throughout projects. The role requires reading construction drawings, operating Total Station, GPS data collection, and auto levels with attention to detail. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are needed.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements include High School diploma or GED.
• 0+ years experience related to new construction surveying
• Proficient in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Proficient communication skills including verbal and written, interpersonal and organizational.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff with strong customer service orientation.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a dependable vehicle with up-to-date inspection sticker to perform work related duties.
• Current surveyor license is preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of survey equipment as the job demands and works on multiple jobs.
• The Survey Technician works under the direction of the Survey Chief.
• Read construction drawings and specifications and follow detailed instructions.
• Assist in determining elevations and laying out stakes; mark points of measurement.
• Travel as required which may include out of town travel.
