Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced leader to guide the Surveying and Mapping practice in delivering high-quality projects across the Southeast. You will manage plans, budgets, and client relationships while mentoring teams and applying cutting-edge surveying technologies.

The role emphasizes growth, collaboration, and a focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a dynamic engineering environment. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field and minimum of 7 years of related professional experience, or 11 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Progressive professional and increasing project management and organizational management experience.
• Proven experience in project management roles within the technical practice.
• Demonstrated leadership capability to build and lead teams of technical practitioners and/or project managers.
• Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Ensure quality control standards are met and adhere to industry best practices.
• Train and mentor team members on Surveying best practices and technologies.
• Stay up to date with UAS regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and strategies.
• Participate in industry conferences or events as a guest speaker or panelist to share insights and expertise.
• Assist in sales activities and maintenance of client relationships.
• Prepare technical and fee proposals.
• Participate in the preparation of surveys and contract documents, as required.
• Perform QA/QC reviews for project or task deliverables.
