Job description

Surveying Assistant

As a Surveying Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the surveyor in conducting field surveys and collecting data. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, physically fit, and has a passion for working outdoors. Previous experience is not required as training will be provided. This position offers a salary of $1300 per month and includes accommodation in Washington. We welcome applications from individuals of all nationalities who are fluent in English and able to work legally in the US.

In this role, your main duties will include assisting the surveyor with setting up equipment, taking measurements, recording data and making sketches of the surveyed area. You will also be responsible for maintaining survey equipment and ensuring its proper use and storage. Additionally, you may be required to research property records and prepare reports based on survey findings.

To excel in this position, you should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You must also possess excellent physical stamina as this job requires standing for extended periods of time and carrying heavy equipment over varied terrain.

We are seeking a team player who is able to follow instructions accurately and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail is crucial in this role as even small errors can have serious consequences on the accuracy of survey results.

Please note that this position is open to individuals without previous experience in surveying. However, candidates with some knowledge or background in geography or land surveying will have an advantage.
