Job summary

SUMMIT DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES, INC. in Raleigh, NC seeks a field survey technician to perform boundary and topographic surveys for public and private clients.

You will operate GNSS receivers and robotic total stations to measure elevations, angles, and distances, while maintaining instrument accuracy and supporting field productivity. The role requires a valid NC driver’s license, at least one year of survey instrument experience, and the ability to work in varying weather with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of one year of survey instrument operation is required.
• Valid NC Driver's license required with good driving record.
• Practical knowledge of survey methods and procedures.
• Ability to utilize GPS, RTK, VRS, and robotic total station equipment.
• Ability to interpret maps.
• Detail oriented with good communication skills.
• Physically able to walk rough terrain, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform field work in various weather conditions.
• Occasional regional travel (approximately 20%) including some overnight stays.
