Job summary

Snyder & Associates, Inc. is seeking a survey technician for our Gladstone, Missouri office. You will participate in fieldwork and support survey activities across projects in the Midwest, contributing to data collection and mapping efforts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, and Plat of Surveys.
  • Prepare Final Plats and Topographic Survey & Utility Mapping.
  • Conduct Construction As-Built Surveys and Acquisition Plats.
  • Create Easements; perform Preliminary DOT surveys.

Overview

Snyder & Associates, Inc is seeking a motivated candidate to join the survey team in our Gladstone, Missouri office as a survey technician.

Precise land surveying provides the groundwork for sound design and determines project success. Snyder & Associates coordinates with project teams to provide the data that owners, contractors, and design professionals need to complete projects quickly and efficiently. We excel at meeting challenging scheduling demands, even when the needs change once we arrive.

Our civil engineering expertise spans a variety of projects for public and private entities including streets and highways, multimodal accommodations, stormwater, wastewater, drinking water, athletic facilities, land development, bridges, buildings, and more. As a member of our survey team, you’ll have an active role in improving the communities we serve and call home. You’ll find the support you need to excel and help us carry on a long-standing tradition of innovation and service.

Responsibilities

You’ll be directly involved in the fieldwork of survey activities including:

  • ALTA Surveys
  • Construction Staking
  • Plat of Surveys
  • Final Plats
  • Topographic Survey & Utility Mapping
  • Construction As-Built Surveys
  • Acquisition Plats
  • Easements
  • Preliminary D.O.T. Surveys
Qualifications
  • Experience in a construction-related trade or as a survey technician
  • Associate of Applied Science Degree in Civil Engineering/Land Surveying Technology is preferred but not required.
  • Team player who is able to contribute on an individual basis
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Efficient and safe work habits
  • Reliable, punctual, and regular attendance
  • Ability to work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions
  • Ability to effectively and safely move on foot through active construction sites and undeveloped ground, uneven terrain, and wooded areas
  • Must be able to safely lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
  • Must be able to follow and abide by all company policies and procedures
