Job summary

CMES, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Survey Tech to assist with boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys in the field and office.

The position will train and develop under a Survey Team Leader and involve drafting or modeling in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Geopak. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to work outdoors in varied weather, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Able to work outside in diverse weather conditions, often near equipment or machinery on rough surfaces.
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of a survey crew in fields and office settings.
  • Perform boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys.
  • Set up and operate survey equipment and perform calculations.
  • Draft or model in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Geopak as needed.

has opportunities for highly-motivated and hard-working Survey Tech with a desire to learn and grow professionally. This paid position will report to a Survey Team Leader and will be introduced to and utilized in surveying work both in the field and in the office.

Typical work includes but is not limited to: working as a member of a survey crew; performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys; setting up and operating survey equipment; performing survey calculations; performing all aspects of stakeout and locations surveys; and drafting or modeling in software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Geopak. CMES, Inc.is willing to expend the time and resources necessary to train and develop the selected individual.

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Able to work outside in diverse weather conditions, often working near equipment or machinery on rough, uneven, rocky or slippery surfaces
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be at least 18 years old
