Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Richmond, VA seeks a Survey Assistant Project Manager to join our team. You will apply administrative, technical, and managerial techniques to projects, assist in proposals, and help ensure timely completion within budget.

Lead and coordinate with Project Manager and clients, supervise survey personnel, and monitor scope, schedules, and costs. Strong communication and five+ years in land surveying are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field preferred, or commensurate relevant experience.
• Professional Land Surveying registration preferred.
• Five or more years of land surveying or related land development experience including professional project management.

Responsibilities

• Assist manager in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.
• Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
• Participate in meetings with prospective clients, proposal preparations, and establishment of budgets and schedules.
• Maintain liaison with clients and work with Project Manager to resolve project questions including technical requirements.
• Review project changes and assess impact on staffing and budget.
• Supervise survey project personnel to meet high professional standards.
• Define scope of multiple complex projects and monitor progress toward deliverables.
• Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings within budget.
