Job summary

The Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services, within the Cobb DOT Engineering Division's Survey Department, seeks a seasoned manager to oversee survey project execution both in the office and the field, coordinating with various Cobb DOT divisions and county departments as needed.

Responsibilities include developing work plans, administering equipment contracts, enforcing safety policies, handling customer inquiries, and representing the division at meetings and public events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Managerial and supervisory experience in transportation roadway and capital improvement projects.
• Experience in field data collection, data processing, site preparation and staking, record keeping, boundary evaluation and researching legal records.
• Proficiency with survey software and equipment listed in qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and monitors division work plan, policies and procedures.
• Administers contracts for equipment, supplies and services.
• Ensures adherence to safety policies and procedures; monitors safety and drug/alcohol testing.
• Performs customer service functions and addresses inquiries.
• Performs public relations duties and represents the division at meetings and events.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
