Lamp Rynearson, Inc. is seeking a Survey Department Manager or an experienced Survey Project Manager to lead our Fort Collins surveying team.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality survey projects within time and budget while maintaining strong client relationships. Ideal candidates will be licensed as Land Surveyors in Colorado or able to obtain within a year, with proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D and knowledge of ALTA surveys, subdivision plats, and QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Land Surveyor in Colorado or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, QA/QC, and regulations.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D.
  • Experience with ALTA surveys and subdivision plats.
  • Ability to manage multiple surveys and coordinate with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the survey team to meet project budgets and schedules.
  • Review work for regulatory and company compliance.
  • Prepare estimates and project plans.
  • Maintain client communications and collaborate with other disciplines.
  • Support marketing efforts and work with other offices.

Job description

Overview

Lamp Rynearson, a respected engineering, land planning, and land surveying firm—is seeking a Survey Department Manager or an experienced Survey Project Manager to lead our established surveying team in Fort Collins. This role offers the chance to showcase your expertise while continuing to grow a strong, well-supported survey group.

Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating the survey team to deliver projects within technical, budget, and schedule expectations; reviewing work for regulatory and company compliance; preparing estimates and project plans; maintaining communication with internal and external clients; collaborating with other disciplines; and supporting marketing efforts. You’ll also benefit from working closely with our survey teams in other offices.

Qualifications include…

  • Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of Colorado or ability to obtain within one year
  • Strong understanding of mathematics and survey computations;
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, practices and QA/QC processes;
  • Experience with modern survey equipment;
  • Good understanding of engineering, design and construction practices;
  • Ability to efficiently perform, direct and/or manage multiple types of surveys;
  • Strong knowledge of local, state and federal regulations;
  • Ability to think independently;
  • Ability to work well with, coach and direct others;
  • Ability to establish and maintain client relationships; and
  • Ability to handle and coordinate multiple tasks while dealing with a variety of variables.

Ideal candidate will possess…

  • Licensure in adjacent states;
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D;
  • Experience creating/preparing legal descriptions;
  • Experience performing ALTA surveys:
  • Experience creating subdivision plats:
  • Desire to explore and develop new technologies;
  • Photogrammetry experience; and
  • Scanning experience.
