Responsibilities

This position is a Survey Party Chief which requires 4‑8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing control surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring, and as‑built surveys.

• Mentor, train, and manage assigned staff in the field.
• Operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment.
• Perform survey calculations in the field with excellent math skills.
• Interpret design plans, as‑built drawings, and roadway plans.
• Create legible field sketches and detailed field notes.
• Maintain a valid current driver’s license.
• Follow instructions and exhibit a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentoring skills.
• Lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, and be willing to work evenings, weekends, or travel for overnight and extended‑stay projects as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
