Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead field crews on control, boundary and topographic surveys across the United States.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds, work evenings/weekends, and travel. You will mentor staff and operate robotic total stations, data collectors, RTK GPS, and inspect plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Highschool Diploma/GED.
• Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment; background and motor vehicle checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• This position is a Survey Party Chief which requires 4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing control surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys.
• Must have the ability to mentor, train, and manage assigned staff in the field.
• Must have the ability to operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment.
• Must have excellent math skills and be able to perform survey calculations in the field.
• Must have ability to interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans.
• Must have ability to create legible field sketches and detailed field notes.
• A valid current driver’s license is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and have a positive can-do attitude are necessities.
• Must possess leadership and mentoring skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
