Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking an Operating Supervisor in the Survey section to coordinate survey activities across Construction Operations, Public Improvement, Substation & Transmission, Electric Operations, Steam, Real Estate, and the Law department.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety programs, supervising layouts and drawings, researching land titles, obtaining easements and NYC DOT sewer permits, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Survey Technology with 2 years as a surveyor, or equivalent.
• Associate's degree with 4 years of surveyor experience, or equivalent.
• High School Diploma with 6 years of surveyor experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety programs are followed and environment is protected.
• Supervise development of layouts and drawings using AutoCAD, ProjectWise, Irth, and Map View.
• Research land titles and easements to support Law and Real Estate.
• Prepare easements and NYCDOT sewer permits.
• Coordinate meetings with field personnel, engineers, agencies, and customers to resolve issues.
• Identify and implement new equipment or techniques to improve productivity and quality.
• Monitor KPIs and scheduling for timely completion.
• Review completed work for accuracy and compliance with survey specs.
• Enforce good housekeeping for equipment and work areas.
