Job summary

Frey Consulting Group seeks an Office Survey Technician in Olympia, WA to perform technical work in survey drafting, boundary and topography, ALTA, right of way engineering, and construction surveying for public and private clients.

You will draft maps, prepare legal descriptions, and assist with research using AutoCAD or MicroStation, under supervision of the Survey Manager. Strong communication and 6+ years' experience required; LSIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of survey field and/or office experience and general engineering plan reading skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide Surveying and Geomatics office support.
• Responsible for mapping, drafting, data extraction, and topographic surveys.
• Work closely in an apprenticeship role with Survey Manager, Project Surveyor, and a large network of successful professionals around the Western United States.
• Perform research, design and calculations for survey and mapping projects using AutoCAD or MicroStation products.
• Assist with boundary determinations and procedure analysis.
• Prepare legal descriptions, exhibits and plats.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Offering a comprehensive suite of geomatics services, from aerial LiDAR and topographic surveys to construction surveys and BIM modeling, they deliver precision and innovation at every turn.They are seeking an Office Survey Technician in Olympia, WA who will be responsible for performing technical work in survey drafting, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way engineering, and construction surveying services for public and private clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Surveying and Geomatics office support.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD C3D, MicroStation (ORD), and Point Cloud extraction
• Minimum 6 years of survey field and/or office experience and general engineering plan reading skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Data processing experience using TBC (Trimble Business Center), Topodot, and Cyclone for feature extraction
