Job summary

CAGE Engineering is seeking a Survey Manager to oversee our Lakewood, CO survey operations and lead a team of survey professionals. You will ensure accurate data delivery and collaborate with engineering teams to support project success.

The ideal candidate has a strong leadership background, extensive land surveying experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble tools. Hybrid work flexibility and a focus on safety and quality are key assets for this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying, including leadership or management roles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center and surveying equipment.
  • Strong understanding of legal descriptions, boundary law and topographic surveys.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and quality assurance.

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of survey data for engineering, construction, and land development projects.

  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software (GPS, total stations, AutoCAD Civil 3D) for data collection.
  • Prepare and review survey reports, maps, plats, and other documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land surveying.
  • Develop and implement efficient survey processes and workflows.
  • Monitor and manage survey budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance survey capabilities.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Manager to oversee our survey operations in the Lakewood, CO office. The Survey Manager will lead a team of survey professionals, ensure the delivery of accurate and timely survey data, and collaborate with engineering teams to support the successful completion of projects, and provide overall advancement for the department.   • The salary range provided is a general guideline. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and overall alignment with the role and company needs.
