Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. in New Albany, IN is seeking an Intern - Survey to assist field crews and gain hands-on experience in land surveying.

You will participate in topographic mapping, boundary surveys, and construction layout while learning survey procedures and safety practices. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in a surveying program, have a high school diploma or GED, and are prepared to work outdoors, travel occasionally, and handle field equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and current enrollment in a college surveying program.
• Physical ability to lift 50-70 pounds and perform fieldwork outdoors.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 2–3 weeks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist field crew with data collection for topo, boundary, construction, and SUE projects.
• Learn to operate survey equipment and care for it.
• Support data management and field information organization.
• Participate in daily briefings and communicate observations to crew leader.
• Prepare survey vehicles and equipment for daily activities.
• Complete safety training and follow procedures.
