Job summary

J2 is seeking a Field Coordinator to oversee land survey field operations, including boundary/ALTA, topo, and utility mapping. The role emphasizes client communication and project planning, with responsibility for equipment maintenance and team leadership.

The candidate will analyze plans, perform field data computations, and produce survey products in Carlson/AutoCAD, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring safety standards. A degree and several years of field experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Associate/Technical/High School degree required
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in managing land surveying field projects preferred
• SIT licensure is a plus but not required
• Strong client interaction and organizational skills preferred
• Proficient with computing, drafting, cutsheets and CAD standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee land surveying field operations to ensure accuracy across boundary/ALTA, topographic, utility, transportation and construction surveys
• Proactively plan and manage field crew schedules daily
• Maintain field equipment and truck fleet
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal/external teams

As a Field Coordinator, you will oversee the land survey field operations to ensure accurate completion of all field projects, including Boundary/ALTAs, topographic, utility mapping, transportation, and construction surveys, utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Ensure high-quality standards and implement safety protocols
• Proactively manage and plan the field crew schedule (daily)
