Job summary

Triad Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field activities, plan daily tasks, and ensure high-quality surveying work. You will coordinate with the Survey Practice Leader, supervise crew members, and uphold safety and standard procedures on diverse projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with supervisors, maintenance of equipment, and engagement in client service and business development within a growing ESOP company.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with progressing responsibility on a survey crew.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional courses in mathematics and surveying preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead field work as Survey Crew Chief; plan, organize, and direct daily crew tasks.
• Prioritize safety in all activities.
• Coordinate field work with Survey Supervisor and practice leader.
• Supervise crew; set priorities and coordinate work without direct supervision.
• Verify field surveys meet procedures, statutes, and ACSM standards.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; perform preventative maintenance.
• Communicate with professional staff and participate in business development and client service.

What You\'ll Do

Being part of the Triad team as a Survey Crew Chief and with direction from the Survey Practice Leader, you will be responsible for leading field aspects of a project by planning, organizing and directing the daily work of the survey crew. Exposure to a wide variety of diverse responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

• Ensure safety is always prioritized
• Collaboration with Survey Supervisor and/or practice leader in scheduling and coordinating field work
• Supervise work of survey crew, evaluate priorities and coordinate and organize the work efforts without direct supervision
• Verify field survey activities are performed in accordance with standard procedures, standards set by applicable state statutes, and the ACSM
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, completing preventative maintenance and performing calibrations
• Communicate effectively with professional staff regarding projects
• Participate in business development and customer service

Desired Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with progressing responsibility in working on a survey crew required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional courses in mathematics and surveying - Preferred
• Must possess a valid driver\'s license and have a clean driving record
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
