Job Roles And Responsibilities

Field Survey Operations

Lead daily field survey operations and activities.
Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction stakeout, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
Operate GPS/GNSS equipment, Total Stations, robotic instruments, and electronic data collectors.
Collect, verify, and maintain accurate field measurements.
Ensure field survey work meets project specifications and quality standards.

Crew Leadership

Lead and direct survey crew members in daily field assignments.
Assign work and monitor crew productivity.
Maintain safe, organized, and efficient field operations.
Ensure projects remain on schedule.

Project Coordination

Coordinate with Project Managers, Professional Surveyors, and Engineers.
Prepare accurate field notes and survey documentation.
Communicate project status, field conditions, and potential issues.
Read and interpret construction drawings and survey plans.
Support land development and civil engineering projects.

Required

Qualifications and Certifications

Previous Survey Crew Chief, Party Chief, or strong field surveying experience.
Hands-on experience with GPS/GNSS, Total Station, robotic instruments, and electronic data collectors.
Strong understanding of land surveying principles.
Ability to read construction drawings and survey plans.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
Reliable and dependable work history.
