Job summary

Cnefargo seeks a CAD Technician to join our Grand Junction, CO team. The role supports the Civil Engineering and Land Surveying group on municipal, commercial, oil & gas, and industrial projects, delivering precise drawings and deliverables while collaborating across departments.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5+ years as a Draftsman in land surveying or engineering, strong AutoCAD/Trimble experience, and excellent time management. The position follows a 7am–5pm schedule with potential field work.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years as a Draftsman in a land surveying, engineering firm.
• 5-8+ years of experience working with AutoCAD and Trimble software.
• 5+ years of experience with Land Surveying in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with Carlson, ArcGIS or Skyline Software is a plus but not required.
• Capable of working across Oil & Gas, Construction & Development, and Government projects.
• Must meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday; additional hours may be needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD and Carlson to prepare drawings.
• Plan, organize, and schedule projects.
• Perform drawing maintenance, updates, and revisions.
• Manage project folders and files to company standards.
• Review drawings prepared by other CAD Techs.
• Analyze data from field records, plats, and other sources.
• Process GPS data and produce deliverables for clients.
• Coordinate with departments and clients to finalize outputs.
• Possible field work as needed.
