Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • BS or associate degree in Surveying/Geomatics or related field.
  • 2-5 years of surveying work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of geometry, coordinate geometry and trigonometry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares survey documents per state/local standards (ALTA/NSPS, etc.).
  • Independently writes legal descriptions for survey documents.
  • Performs land records research and knows government offices.
  • Compiles deeds and plats into a deed sketch.
  • Assist with staking computations and construction staking basics.
  • Assist in field crew packages and point maps.
  • Escalate hazards and unsafe work conditions.
  • Maintain good client relations and professional image in the field.
  • Follow Geomatics department guidelines and procedures.
  • Support safe and respectful work environment.
