Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Rockville, MD is seeking a Survey CAD Technician II to support project deliverables and contract documents in accordance with our standards. You will convert field data into accurate drawings under supervision and collaborate with senior staff.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in survey/CAD, knowledge of ALTA/topographic surveys, and hands-on experience with Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak or Revit. The role offers growth, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Three or more (3+) years of survey and/or CAD experience in the land development/land survey industry.
• Knowledge of basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• Surveyor-In-Training certificate preferred; licensure a plus.
• Proficiency with Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak or Revit software.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, convert information into electronically generated drawings and project documents.
• Perform horizontal computations for boundary surveys and analyses of field data.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Compute horizontal positions for buildings, streets, curbs, etc.
• Check record plats for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Gain knowledge of ALTA Land Title Surveys, topographic and boundary surveys.
