Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor CCTV systems, detect threats, and document incidents across sites such as security operations centers and call centers.

Based in Augusta, ME, the role offers a set Monday–Friday 2pm–10pm schedule and a competitive hourly rate of $20.60. GardaWorld provides medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with employer match, PTO, holidays, life insurance, and more. Uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Pass an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Sharp visual activity and concentration
• Proficiency with technology
• Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience is a plus
• State license if required

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity
• Document events and incidents with detailed reports
• Respond promptly to incidents or threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors
• Analyze systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in emergencies
• Ensure safety and protection of people and property
