GardaWorld Security is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer in Charles City, IA, to monitor security systems, document incidents, and respond to threats on a full-time schedule.

You will conduct regular patrols, control access, and collaborate with local authorities as needed. GardaWorld offers a competitive $17.25 per hour, benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with employer matching, PTO, holidays, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED documentation
• Able to pass an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be available to work holidays
• Must obtain IA state private security license (paid assistance provided)

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalata in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Site Location: Charles City, IA
• Set schedule: Full-time, Saturday through Sunday 3rd Shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, 3rd Shift 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., Friday, 3rd Shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Qualifications of a Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent abilities to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be available to work holidays
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an IA state private security license (GardaWorld will pay for and help to obtain)
