GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer in Ottawa, IL. The role focuses on monitoring security systems, observing details, and quickly responding to incidents to protect people and property.

A valid IL PERC, US work authorization, and a HS diploma or GED are required; extensive screening will be conducted. Part-time schedule: Friday–Sunday, 4 a.m.–2 p.m., with a competitive $21/hour wage.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid IL PERC.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass an extensive screening process.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Sharp visual attention and concentration.
• Proficiency with technology required.
• Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.
• State license may be required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document events and incidents with detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure premises safety.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitor identities.
• Analyze systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations.
• Ensure the safety of people and property.
