Job summary

Accel Entertainment/Century Gaming Technologies (CGT) in Nevada is seeking a vigilant Surveillance Officer responsible for monitoring gaming floors, protecting assets, and reporting violations to management.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 21+, English proficiency, ability to operate CCTV and computer systems, and willingness to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration. Base pay starts at $20 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must be quality conscious and flexible.
• Must have or apply for and receive a Gaming Registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
• At least six months previous security experience preferred.
• Must own a weapon and have a firearm permit.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Observe activities in all CGT areas.
• Report all violations of gaming, safety, health and policy/procedures.
• Operate CCTV and video recording devices and remote-control devices.
• Use a computer and related hardware to complete documentation.
• Provide surveillance to protect company assets and licenses.
• Maintain knowledge of CGT’s policies and gaming regulations.

• Remain impartial and keep actions confidential.
• Sign in/out vehicles and keysets as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

A surveillance officer is a professional who provides a wide variety of security services, such as protecting their employer's property, ensuring customer security , and providing security reports to their employer's management team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Observe activities that occur in all areas of CGT
• Report all violations of gaming, safety, health and or policy and procedural violations that occur.
• Ability to operate closed circuit television, video recording devices, and remote-control devices.
• Ability to use a computer and associated hardware to complete documentation.
• Provide and maintain surveillance operation to protect company assets and licenses.
• Thorough knowledge of CGT’s policies and procedures
• Thorough knowledge of gaming regulations
• Accurately and confidentially observe and report all violations of law, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to remain impartial and keep confidential all actions and behavior observed.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Sign in and out vehicles and keysets when required by technicians.
• Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with this job description
• Must be able to move about intermittently during working hours including standing, lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling without accommodation
• Must be able to tolerate high noise levels
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to work long periods of time sequestered in a dark room.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

Compensation and Benefits

#CGTGaming Base Pay Range: $20.00 This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The base salary will depend on a number of factors such as: qualifications, experience level, and skillset.
