Job summary

Ethos Risk Services seeks an Experienced Field Investigator to conduct stationary and mobile surveillance, obtain video and photographic evidence, and prepare thorough reports for clients. The role involves independent field work, travel within a 2‑hour radius, and long hours in a vehicle.

You will review case information, document findings, and maintain communication with supervisors and teams to ensure accurate case closure.

Qualifications

• Experience with covert surveillance and producing high‑quality video footage.
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Reliable personal vehicle in good condition.
• Camcorder with zoom and covert camera capability; stabilization gear encouraged.
• Reliable laptop, cell phone, and internet for administrative tasks.
• Active Private Investigator license or willingness to obtain one where required by state.

Responsibilities

• Case Preparation: review case information before surveillance.
• Field Surveillance: conduct covert surveillance and capture video evidence.
• Report Writing: draft detailed, court‑ready investigative reports.
• Documentation: finalize case file and upload footage.
• Communication: coordinate with field supervisor and operations teams.
