Job summary

Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency is expanding its Surgery team across Marietta and Dunwoody locations. We seek an experienced Veterinary Technician to support both hospitals, travel as needed, and participate in an on-call schedule.

The role offers growth toward VTS specialization within a collaborative, multi-location setting. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in veterinary practice, strong surgical nursing and perioperative care, and the flexibility to work across two hospitals as the

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience in surgery, specialty, emergency, anesthesia, or high-volume practice is preferred.
• Strong surgical nursing and perioperative patient care skills required.
• Proven ability to maintain sterile technique and surgical field integrity.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for specialty surgery and advanced procedures.
• Maintain surgical suite, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Support surgeons during procedures and perioperative care.
• Monitor and manage anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery.
• Provide postoperative monitoring and nursing care.
• Maintain accurate surgical and anesthesia records.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and nursing teams.
