Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program with Certificate/Diploma.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a CST.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Surgical Technology courses in the program.

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Surgical Technology Program . This is a full- time , professional position reporting directly to the Program Director . The primary responsibility will be to teach Surgical Technology courses . Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation .

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate in Allied Health or a related field is required
• Certifications:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist
• At least three years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated , and results - driven
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred but not required
