Job summary

Concorde Career Colleges is seeking a Surgical Technology Clinical Coordinator to secure and maintain clinical placements, ensure onboarding requirements are met, and support students and clinical partners. This role collaborates with program leadership to ensure high-quality clinical education across assigned programs.

The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with responsibilities spanning accreditation, student support, and program growth.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Surgical Technology is required.
  • Minimum 4 years clinical experience in surgical technology with at least 3 years in the operating room scrub role within the last 5 years (required) - or- minimum of 3 years teaching in the field of surgical technology.
  • Unencumbered and active Surgical Technologist credential from an NCAA nationally accredited program (required).
  • Valid, state-issued driver’s license (required).
  • Proven ability to manage complex tasks and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Secure, schedule, and maintain clinical placement sites that meet program and accreditation requirements.
  • Serve as primary liaison to clinical partners, addressing site needs, student issues, performing site visits, and placement logistics.
  • Track and ensure completion of all students’ clinical requirements, including documentation, background checks, immunizations, and compliance items.
  • Monitor student progress during clinical rotations and provide support in resolving concerns or barriers to completion.
  • Collaborate with faculty and leadership to forecast placement needs, evaluate site performance, and support program growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases, and reports related to clinical placements and student requirements.
  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding processes for students entering clinical rotations.
  • Ensure alignment with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Inventory, maintain, and procure equipment, supplies.
  • Programs with Sterile Processing: Provide clinical placement coordination, programs support and student support for Sterile Processing programs, including managing placements for Sterile Processing students.
  • Participate in orientations, departmental meetings, graduations, and other events and initiatives.
  • Support the accreditation process and ensure ongoing program compliance.
  • Assist with scheduling of NCCT and CST exams in a timely manner. All students have to sit for the certification prior to graduation, conduct review courses for CST and NCCT certification.
  • Engage in systematic program evaluation and reporting.
  • Teach courses as needed.

Job description

The Surgical Technology Clinical Coordinator is responsible for securing and maintaining clinical placement sites, ensuring students meet all onboarding requirements, and providing ongoing support to students and clinical partners. This role collaborates closely with program leadership to ensure high-quality clinical education experiences across assigned programs.

Schedule : Monday-Friday (8:00am- 5:00 pm)

Compensation : $80,340.00

Work Environment
  • Work is performed indoors in a climate‑controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
  • This position is designated as On Campus or On site; Work environments may include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal‑protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site‑specific safety procedures.
