Qualifications

• Associate degree or surgical technology certification is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Independence in scrubbing basic surgeries and strong problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, pharmacology, electricity, chemistry, computers, robotics and lasers.

Responsibilities

• Apply aseptic principles and sterile techniques during surgeries.
• Assist with supply and equipment organization for efficiency.
• Facilitate communication between departments and support patient care activities.
• Document patient data, transcribe physician orders, and manage patient charts.
• Support quality improvement and infection control initiatives.
• Collaborate with surgeons and OR staff to ensure trays, instruments, and supplies are available.
• Participate in room turnover, instrument sterilization, and proper waste disposal.
