Job summary

Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Surgery department. This full-time role supports RN staff, prepares instruments, maintains sterile technique, and ensures patient safety throughout perioperative care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN.
  • Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies.
  • Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner.
  • Demonstrates effective, positive, professional manners while exercising verbal and nonverbal communication to the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, and patients.
  • Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.

Department: 37703 Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital - Surgery Room Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Days Pay Range: $20.15 - $30.25

What you will need:
  • Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
