Job summary

Atrium Health in Elkin, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist who has graduated from a Surgical Technology program. Under the supervision of the RN, you will support operative procedures, prepare and maintain sterile instruments, and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

You must hold a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and demonstrate strong communication, adaptability, and cost-conscious inventory management in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required; specialty certification preferred.
• Under RN supervision, maintains instrument readiness and patient safety throughout procedures.

• EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
• LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Certification in specialty area preferred.
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN. 2. Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies. 3.
