Michigan Medicine’s Brighton Center for Specialty Care is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to scrub cases across multiple specialties in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will support the operative team, maintain sterility, and ensure proper instrumentation for procedures.
The role requires a formal Surgical Technologist program completion, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three years of clinical experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential.

Performing daily assistance with our state-of-the-art instruments, sutures and additional sterile supplies during the procedures.
Effectively turnover and transfer instruments to CSR/Decontamination.
You will demonstrate your ability to accomplish tasks in a calm and reliable manner while delivering excellent patient care.
The expansion of your knowledge and improve your skills on passing instruments, retracting tissues, and operating equipment during surgery.
Multitasking while keeping a detailed focus on the surgeons' needs for instrumentation and supplies as needed.
The ability to work under pressure and in situations that demand perseverance and stamina, while transferring patients as needed.
Capable of maintaining positive in challenging situations.

This is a 4 10hr shift position, straight days rotating times of 7a-530p or 9a-730p.
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
