Job summary

USPI Bluffton Okatie Surgery Center is hiring a Surgical Scrub Technologist, PT to join our fast-paced ASC environment. The role involves scrubbing for procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and preparing instruments and supplies for surgical teams.

The successful candidate will support the surgical team and participate in quality improvement activities, with emphasis on teamwork, patient safety, and efficient case flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Completion of Surgical Technician Program or equivalent experience.
• State/center certification as required.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures and function as a member of the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Support quality improvement activities within the center.

Bluffton Okatie Surgery Center is hiring a Surgical Scrub Technologist, PT

Role Description

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
