Job summary

Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. You will assist the surgeon and surgical staff, maintain a sterile field, and help prepare equipment and supplies for pediatric, adolescent and adult cases.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• Pediatric scrub tech experience preferred.
• Current national certification as a surgical technologist, or within 180 days of graduation.
• CPR certified (Required issuer: American Heart Assoc. BLS)

Responsibilities

• Assists surgical team before, during and after procedures.
• Maintains sterile environment and prepares supplies/equipment.
• Ensures patient safety and proper handling of instruments.
• Transports instruments to decontamination following cases.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
