Trinity Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a full-time, day-shift position in Grand Rapids, MI. You will assist surgeons and residents by organizing, passing instruments, and providing retraction under the surgeon's direction. Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program.
• Or six years of surgical tech experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Familiarity with standard desktop and Windows-based computer systems.
• Ability to use other software required.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative technique for procedures.
• Maintains asepsis and infection prevention principles.
• Identifies breaches in aseptic technique and resolves them.
• Assists with patient positioning, prepping and draping.
• Selects, organizes, and passes instruments and supplies under the surgeon's direction.
• Assists with exposure using instruments, retractors, suctioning, and sponging.
