Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the scrub, surgeon assistant, and circulator roles for newborn through geriatric procedures, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Graduate of a Technical College with accredited Surgical Technologist curricula is required, along with Surgical Technologist Certification after 2008 and BLS from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Technical College, or equivalent, with accredited Surgical Technologist curricula.
• Licenses/Certifications: Surgical Technologist Certification required after 2008
• BLS with the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Responsibilities

• Scrub person, surgeon assistant, and assistant circulator for all newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient procedures completed under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
